National Leadership Team
has served the local church vocationally since 1980, and has seen the church he led grow through many hundreds to become a significant church serving others. His wife, children and their spouses are all vitally involved in the work of the local church. Having handed over leadership of the local church he now serves the movement as president. Phillip loves being a part of changing things, watching Australia beat the Poms, laughing his head off at old Laurel and Hardy movies, and driving his almost 60 year old FJ Holden where he claims God rides with him.
with his wife Sharon planted New Directions Community Church in 1994 and have led the church since then. The church is based at The Tailrace Centre in Launceston Tasmania. The Tailrace Centre houses a function and convention centre, café restaurant and indoor children’s playground and is designed to help the ministries of the church connect daily with people who would not normally consider going to church. Tim and Sharon are passionate about reaching people with the good news of Jesus and discipling them to live as followers of His who will in turn seek to reach and disciple others. Tim has been actively involved in raising church planters and has been on the board of Empart for over 10 years. Tim is also involved in a number of market place ministries including Half Time. Tim and Sharon have three children.
